It was only one run, but too much is at risk to make it worthwhile. Anyways, I don't foresee playing with Random New World again. Historical (as in similar amount of square miles)Ī slider could also work for this. An option of how much land you want in the new world would be nice. It looks like Canada with nothing more than a couple of random small islands south of it. We test the updated Random New World Generator in EU4 - The Cossacks by creating 10 Random New Worlds in 10 minutesAlthough the Random New World Generator f. I ended up removing exploration ideas (and wasting all those DIP points) and going back to my usual gameplay route. There was only one or two small islands that were within my range even after having exploration ideas with my colonial range expanded. Unfortunately, as I got into it, what I got was this mess. I was a bit surprised, albeit pleasantly, when I realized everything was random. I was expecting to have my somewhat usual route with Norway which is through Greenland, to New Foundland, then into North America. I took Exploration ideas immediately whereas I almost always take quantity ideas. Having never used Random New World, I actually thought Random New World meant the continents were the same shape, but they were carved up differently with different native (in province) stats and different native nations. I played a game as Norway using Random New World with the thought I would try something different than I normally do by having a focus on being a colonial nation. I've never owned Conquest of Paradise until very recently when it was on sale for 2/3 off.
